This is one of those projects where, you dedicate a lot of time to it, only to see it go no where and then be ghosted by the client.
Yep - this happens in our industry, not often, but it does happen. With all the enthusiasm of a team of people who were invigorated to start this project, and the engagement with Digital Front was electric at the beginning.
We met online a couple of times through email and Zoom to discuss the project. We were sent specs that outlined what they wanted, we designed precisely on brief what they wanted, only to have them change the art direction completely to the Canoe Oar. The 2nd logo in the screen shot slide showcases a lot of research into Multiple Pacific Island Nations that included multiple icons in reference to this. This projected ended dead in the water when we delivered the final artwork only to not get a single reply.
